This pendant hangs three or five alabaster globes from a brass frame, with each shade cut from a single block of imported Spanish alabaster. The stone is translucent, so light passes through it rather than sitting behind it, and the veining shows as the warm glow travels across the surface. Over a dining table or kitchen island, the effect is a row of soft, individual lights rather than one hard source.

• Three heads, 39 in long, over a table seating four to six.
• Five heads, 47 in long, over a table seating six to eight.
• Match the run of lights to the run of the table so no end sits dark.

Alabaster is natural stone, so the veining and exact white differ globe to globe, which is why it reads as handmade. Each globe takes a warm 2700K G9 bulb (not included); a cool white fights the honey tone. Hang 30 to 36 inches above the surface on a 59-inch wire, add a dimmer, and hardwire to a load-rated ceiling box through a licensed electrician.
